She realised how much she enjoyed working with textiles, particularly flax, and has produced a series of 15 numbered Gubbins. 15 different designs but instead of being displayed framed in two dimensions, she is exhibiting and selling them in cylindrical form, as wastepaper bins.
She has incorporated a variety of textiles and techniques including fabrics she has printed with screen, asian block and vinyl cut methods; flower pounding, appliqué, antique lace, felted wool, ribbons and bells (not all on each Gubbin).

This year Mandy Taylor was commissioned by a department at the University of Brighton to create an interactive textile map to communicate River Catchment Dynamics to a variety of stakeholders.
